This year in Africa again the Trio performed a series of concerts in Zimbabwe, South Africa and Mozambique.
Thanks the great appreciation of audiences and critics for the trio in the two previous years at the Harare International Festival, the Italian Cultural Institutes in the countries mentioned above decided to organize an international project in collaboration with the European Union and local universities.

HARARE INTERNATIONAL FESTIVAL OF ARTS 2010 "ABOUT FACES"
ABOUT FACE invites all Zimbabweans to turn things around – to look with hope and optimism for transformation and new beginnings, both artistic and societal.
ABOUT FACE calls artists to consider new vantage points, ideas and inspiration at a time when moving forward is about facing the past and about facing the future. ABOUT FACE signifies moving onward and upward, it signifies positive change and growth, developing new attitudes, changing our minds and changing our lives.
The trio was involved in a total of five concerts and classical music and more:

April 28 - Opera Gala
April 29 - concert "Mozart and Friends"
April 30 - Amy Dickinson Show
May 1 - Musicolour, experimental performance in collaboration with the rapper Outspoken Zimbabwean and "The Essence"

In particular the experimental show we created with the Zimbabwean rapper Outspoken and his band, "The Essence", has been very significant for us. We met last year and we thought immediately that we had to dwork together. Our return to the festival was the perfect opportunity to realize our plans and we invented Musicolour, the colors of music. This is a work in which the Zimbabwean rhythms blend with known classical melodies and with the words of the poet. The basic theme is the struggle against discrimination and exclusion, the gateway toward freedom through the artistic expression. Like the keys of a piano keyboard, blacks and whites together can find a form of harmony with the improvement and respect of the different cultures, finding significant communal points.
The construction of the show has been an experience humanly and artistically very important for us all and we had also great satisfaction in seeing the enthusiastic reaction of the audience!
We hope to carry this message beyond the borders of Africa and to help to build  with music a way of respect and peace.

After the Festival in Harare, where we met again many friends, we were in South Africa and Mozambique for a series of concerts in the towns of Johannesburg, Pretoria and Maputo.
We thank the Embassador Stefano Moscatelli, Dr. Fernando Pallini and Dr. Paolo Pettini (Italian Embassy in Harare), the Embassador Carlo Lo Casci and Dr. Simonetta Bartolomei (Italian Embassy in Maputo), the Consul Enrico de Agostini (Italian Consulate in Johannesburg) and Dr. Madina Fabris and Dr. Claudia Fratini (Italian Cultural Institute in Pretoria) for their valuable support and the wide appreciation.
