Our first overseas tour was in late1999 and went right in
Mexico. To go back about 10
years later in those places that had known us as children, it was
really exciting: we are no more the talented youngsters who was playing
together almost by coincidence, now we are professionists with the
consciousness that chamber music is our
way; so we met again many familiar faces that welcomed us with great
expectations and we are happy to have corresponded them.
We brought with us our works of Middle European tradition as trios by
Mozart, Beethoven, Schubert, Dohnanyi and Bach (Goldberg Variations,
transcribed for strings by Master Giuranna) but also the trio of Manuel
Maria Ponce, that we found 10 years ago at the library University of Colima, and
we recorded the world premiere in 2004. |
A special thanks goes to Lic. Gilda Callegas Director of Art
and Culture at the University of Colima, to Maestro Davide Nicolini of
Colima, to Maestro Angel Zuniga Navarrete of Tepoztlan and to Dr.
Giovanni Capirossi Deputy Director Dante Alighieri Society in Mexico
City, who wrote in memory of
the concert in the capital a wonderful article (click here to
view the pdf) that really flatters us.
A hug to friends Enrique, Edoardo, Mauricio, Thomas and our gratitude
to the so warm audience,
whose memory will always be with us. |

Not only concerts
Scrolling down the list of the venues you
can easily see there is time dedicated to teaching and, more generally,
to meeting young students of the university and and schools.
Music is
a treasure that takes a value only
when it's shared with others. We do not think that teaching is
only imparting techniques and style choices: teaching music means
sharing experiences and tips that can help young people build their
way, because every human being needs to cultivate the creativity that
characterizes himself; supporting
and helping to address this potential is the real way we can
be active in a growing and, hopefully, improvement society.
We can say that also this part of the tour gave us great satisfaction:
the partecipation of the students has often been incredible hight (in
Tecoman, full the 400 seats and the standing room, the door of the
auditorium was left open for groups listening outside!) and their
desire to meet and exchange gave us the opportunity to express lot of
what we feel during playing music.
We alternated individual and group instrument lessons, master classes
and chamber music concert dedicated not only to university students but
also to children, accompanied by their parents, asking us questions
about the difficulties of combining the school with the study of an
instrument.
The meetings have been successful thanks to the enthusiasm of all
students and thank the support of their teachers and we thank
them for the important cooperation.
