"Three cowboys come galloping in a desert village.
They Stop. Only the wind, the sun and the empty houses to welcome them.
A light noise of voices is coming from the saloon and they decide to go
there.
Climbed the stairs of wood, crossed the threshold,
they discover a new world. "
"Salooon" is
a show
planned and structured for the Trio by Barbara, desiring to offer the
audience a panorama of contemporary Italian music in a new way: this is
not just a concert or a live electronics show, it's the staging of
different compositions which, connected and commented by an electronic
music base, create with their sequence an imaginary story.
"Salooon" is the
adventure of
three cowboy/musicians in the vast Wild West of the contemporary
Italian music, it'is the story of the artistic encounter of Trio with
some composers, who wanted to express themself by writing for strings.
The saloon is borderland, where you can meet and clash of different
personalities, which often happened to
be in the same place only for relaxing and taking a drink, while a
piano in the background plays easy music for fun.
Equally, during the concert, composers both young and
established, sharply contrasting in style, alternate on
stage through their music; works of a remarkable intellectual level are
introduced by transcriptions for string trio of the most famous rag
times of Scott Joplin. Do not miss even the electronic music, since the
executive intention, despite the light frame, is to modernize the
classical music programs for enhancing and supporting the creativity of
those who today, after centuries of music masterpieces, still choose
the difficult path of composition.
