Definitely
great
was
the appreciation of the trio last March when, for the first time in
England presented the Bach CD / Giuranna Goldberg Variation: a half
year after, the three brothers were invited back to the program "In
Tune" live BBC Radio 3, to describe their activities in recent months,
the next projects and ... the next record!

On 8
October, the
cellist Klaus Broz worked with the Stradivari Foundation for a concert
presentation of some instruments from the permanent collection of the
organization. The evening was greatly appreciated by the public; on
stage, along with two cellos ,taste and sensitivity of Klaus Broz who
performed two suites of Bach for solo cello with ease and involvement.
The collaboration marked the trio's inclusion in the
prestigious
project "Friends of Stradivari" which aims to bring together musicians
and collectors of fine instruments in honor of the great music.
Each year the world will meet in the spirit of the
Italian Language Week, an event sponsored by the Embassies, Consulates
and the Italian Cultural Institutes around the world who simultaneously
devote one week in October at events dedicated to the Italian language
and culture and its commingling with other international cultures.
For the events sponsored this year in Lugano has also performed the
Trio Broz, who wishes to thank Dr Liguori, Vicar of the Consulate
General of Italy, for the invitation and expressed great appreciation:
Dear Barbara,
Giada and Klaus,
I want to say thanks for a dream, and I can confirm this also in my
capacity as Vicar of the Consulate General of Italy in Lugano, which
has enjoyed the honor of having you as protagonists of the Tenth
Week of Italian Language in the world. I could say thank you endlessly
for the kidnapping in which you brought the audience to the vibrant and
elegant succession of Canons, but I prefer to engage you in a business
more 'ambitious,' to be messengers of creativity.
The pleasure of seeing you and to listen,
The Vicar
Dr. Maria Carolina Liguori
Important celebration for Peace is the International
Music Festival, which is now for 15 years host in September, in Assisi,
bringing together artists from around the world and the most diverse
musical styles. In 2010 for the opening of the Festival, Trio
Broz was called to perform Bach's Goldberg Variations for strings in
the version of Maestro Bruno Giuranna, immortal work that led the
audience in a moment of deep reflection and serenity. The audience
packed the Hall of ExPinacoteca of the town and has followed with great
involvement of the implementation.
Our thanks to Master Giglio and Onofri for involvement in the wonderful
initiative.
On 7 September 2010, the Trio Broz was involved in a
very special evening for the Music Festival of Asolo. The Trio
presented the world premiere of the string trio that Maestro Luis
Bacalov, Oscar-winning for film music "Il Postino", wrote and
dedicated specifically to the Trio Broz. The return to the Asolo of
Trio was greeted with warmth and enthusiasm from the audience ,that has
long appreciated and applauded the new work by the famous composer.
Documentary
about the First World War with the projection of historical
video- recordings, original music by Francesca Aste and collaboration
on the violin of Barbara Broz and on the cello of Klaus Broz, Riva
diVallarsa (TN). Designed by Gigi Zoppello, engaged as a narrator, the
show has deeply involved the audience that frelived the tragedy
of war through memories of a journal and video-reportage produced by the
Austrian Empire shortly before the defeat. Experience certainly
exciting for the musicians who, through original pieces by pianist
Francesca Aste, gave voice to the emotions of the protagonists.
Inspired by the words of Pope Paul VI in relation to
art and artists, the initiative is promoted by the International Piano
Festival of Brescia and Bergamo, by the Musical Gasparo da Salò,
by the City and Parish of Wood Bridge with the support of Diocese of
Brescia.
For opening the festival in 2010 was called Trio Broz, that offered the
large audience a Mozart program, with the Divertimento KV563 by the
Maestro from Salzburg, combined with rthe are Trio in D of the pupil
and friend Franz Xavel Suessmayr.
Great satisfaction for the Trio by accepting
the invitation to Los Angeles for performing the annual concert of Hans
Weisshaar Music Instruments (June 2010).The trio played first time
in the United States Bach/Giuranna's Goldberg Variations and expecially
for that event woth a trio of instruments by violin maker Bertrand
Delisle. During
the
same
week
the Italian Consulate in Los Angeles with the
Italian Institute of Culture of the city organized the celebrations on
Republic Day that ended with the Gala Dinner at the Italian House where
Trio Broz was also guest and performed.
Music
is
not
only
part of the
culture of a country, but is also a way of educating and a way of
living. Studying music allowes a person to discover ways of expression
that will be important throughout his life. This was the message of an
evening at the Bocconi University, where young people and young
students of European Musical School Milan have played alongside Italian
musicians who are devoting their lives to this passion, among them Trio
Broz.

in those places that had known us as children, it
was really exciting: we are no more the talented youngsters who was
playing together almost by coincidence, now we are professionists with
the consciousness that chamber music isour way; so we met again
many familiar faces..."
The huge success of critic that
the CD "Bach / Giuranna Goldberg Variations" is having in England led
to the organization of an official presentatio of the recording across
the Channel. A series of events, including the interview and performance of Trio Broz at the Abbeys
Road Studios in London, broadcast live on BBC Radio 3, during
transmission InTune at 17.15 local time.

The beginning of the new
year has marked a great success for Trio Broz with the Englishspecialized critics: the
appreciation of Classical Music
magazine (November 2009), although the international renown monthly reviews as "Classic FM"
and "The Strad" have sanctionedsuccess
of
the
recording
of
Bach's
Goldberg Variations by Trio Broz even
reserving places respectively of
'presenter's choice' and 'recommended CD'.
"This lovely, eminently listenable live recording serves to
introduce an outstanding young Italian string trio consisting of the
siblings Barbara, Giada and Klaus Broz. [...] The playing os so good, so unified and so consistently
brautiful in tone that is amazing to realise we are listening to a
concert performance."

On 13 January 2010 at the Scuola di Musica di Fiesole ended
the celebrations for the 90th birthday of Maestro Piero Farulli,
violist of the Quartetto Italiano and founder of the now historic
institution.
Beside him, all
the teachers, the school management, political representation d
Fiesole, students and many friends.
The celebrations
started on Sunday 10 January with a concert of the teacher of the
school, followed in the afternoons of Tuesday and Wednesday with short
musical interludes from students, past pupils and teachers (Quartet
Ark, Stefano Farulli, Antonello Farulli, Tiziano Mealli, The School Children's
Chorus, Fiesole and the Harmonie Trio Broz).
The emotion was
great and it was our honor to participate and express our gratitude and our affection to the Maestro.
Andre Abujamra,
eccentric Brazilian composer and singer, former leader and founder of
Karnak, author of award-winning soundtracks for Brazilian cinema,
achieved the extraordinary new album" Mafaro "(in Swahili: Joy),
strongly inspired by his recent experienceAfrica. In this CD
Brazilian rhythms and sounds fuse with
ethnic elements and, exceptionally, the timbre of the strings of Trio
Broz, who recorded the song "Logun Ede," prayer to the goddess who
protects against sadness.
The CD will be presented in Sao Paulo, Brazil on
2-3-4 April 2010.
